The patented IWC bracelet quick-change system for the IWC Aquatimer collection makes changing from a steel bracelet to a rubber strap or vice versa quick and simple. The bracelet is pushed into the locking bar from the top and engages audibly.
The IWC Aquatimer Automatic is powered by the caliber 30120, a self-winding movement. It features 21-jewels, a date display, a central hacking feature, 28,800 vph (4Hz) frequency, and a 42-hour power reserve. I must admit that I was slightly disappointed to find out that the Aquatimer doesn’t come with an in-house movement.
The Aquatimer is IWC Schaffhausen’s diving watch. Its main feature is its internal ring for safely measuring dive times. Top models are water resistant to 2,000 m (200 bar, 6,562 ft) and come with a perpetual calendar and chronograph function. The IWC Aquatimer is innovative, robust, and versatile.

About IWC Aquatimer Watches In the 1960’s scuba diving began to grow in popularity, which prompted the release of IWC’s first Aquatimer model in 1967. The original IWC Aquatimer was outfitted with an internal rotating bezel that displayed dive time and resisted pressure up to 200 meters.
The Aquatimer collection represents the connection between the Swiss watch manufacturer IWC, and the exploration of the underwater world. The Charles Darwin Foundation (CDF) is an organization that wants to protect the unique flora and fauna of the Galapagos Islands. It is one of many causes that the International Watch Company supports.
