Panerai has introduced a trio of special edition Submersible watches created in collaboration with US Navy Seals, including one with a Navy Seals experience in training and rescue missions. The luxury watch manufacturer has been crafting Naval watches and instruments since the early 20th century and received its first order from the US Navy back in 1953. The Panerai Submersible Navy SEALs three special editions honor the US Navy Seals – an elite military force that was established by President John F. Kennedy in 1962. The trio of rugged Submersible watches that were recently revealed at an exclusive event at the Core Club New York also come with special features created in close collaboration with Navy Seals.
The first two Panerai Submersible Navy SEALs special editions are both 44mm GMT timepieces and are not available with the specially curated Navy Seal experience. While one of them is crafted in stainless steel with a brushed steel case, the other one is made out of the brand’s proprietary high-tech Carbotech material. Both versions are powered by the same Panerai P.900 automatic mechanical movement that offers 3 days of power reserve. Furthermore, they are also equipped with the Incabloc anti-shock device and the brand’s trademarked Safety Lock crown protection device. The GMT Carbotech Navy Seals is limited to just 162 examples as a nod to the year the Seals were founded and retails for $20,800, while the one in stainless steel is priced at $10,100.
The third watch in the collection is the most special out of the trio. Called the Panerai Submersible Navy SEALs Experience Edition, the buyers will get to experience a specially designed program by Navy Seals. The company says the experience will provide “first-hand exposure to the rigorous physical, emotional and mental demands of SEAL training. Every member of the mission will confront and transcend personal limits under the guidance of some of the world’s most tenacious warriors, along with a Panerai instrument created to withstand the most challenging environments imaginable.” The watch features a 47mm steel case with a black DLC coating. It is powered by the brand’s caliber P.9100/R that is equipped with a flyback chronograph. Limited to just 20 pieces, it can be yours for $57,500. The Experience watch will also be supplied with a special NFT artwork.
