Montblanc Star Legacy Cronograph Day date
The Montblanc Star Legacy product line is inspired by Minerva pocket watches from the 19th century and the beginning of 20th century. The nowadays timepieces include round polished pebble-shaped cases, like those found on antique pocket watches; onion-shaped crowns with the recognisable Montblanc emblem; refined dials with the iconic exploding star guilloché pattern; and Sfumato straps coming from the Pelletteria in Florence, Italy. In 2020, Montblanc is introducing a new 43 mm size to the Star Legacy product line with the presentation of two new men’s pieces, the Star Legacy Automatic Date and the Star Legacy Chronograph Day&Date. Montblanc Star Legacy Automatic Date 43 mm The new Montblanc Star Legacy Automatic Date comes in a 43mm stainless steel case with a domed sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating and a sapphire crystal case back. There are two dial colours, one in ivory with a silvery-white flange and featuring 18 K rose gold-coated Roman numerals, indexes and hands, and the other in anthracite with black rhodium coated Roman numerals, indexes and hands. Both are enhanced with luminescent material SuperLuminova for a better readability at night. The timepieces are powered by the MB 24.17 automatic movement that has a date at three o’clock and a 38-hour power reserve. The timepieces are water resistant to 50 meters and come fitted with a brown or grey Sfumato strap and are available on a stainless steel 3 links bracelet that has been partly polished and partly satin-finished. Star Legacy, one of Montblanc’s classical watch collections, which draws its inspiration from pocket watch lines, is enhanced this year with a new reference, the Chrono Day & Date.
